Designed for iPhone Duo: Note-Taking, Reimagined

Taking notes has always been about more than writing things down. It’s about capturing ideas, making connections, and finding new ways to build on what you know.

iPhone Duo opens up new possibilities for all of this. Its foldable design makes room for everything from capturing quick thoughts and voice memos on the go to exploring different sources, reading side by side, and creating more comfortably.

With Notewise, we’ve designed the note-taking experience around these possibilities, making the most of every screen and configuration.

More Space to Think and Create

Unfolding iPhone Duo gives you more than additional screen space. It opens up new possibilities for working with your ideas and content.

We’ve rethought the layout to make better use of the expanded display, moving navigation and controls to the sides to give your content more room to breathe.

Whether you’re reviewing a document, revisiting a voice memo, organizing your thoughts, or sketching out an idea, the expanded workspace keeps your content front and center, with the tools you need always within reach.

And as you rotate the device, the interface adapts with it, keeping your workspace comfortable and accessible.

It’s a small shift in layout, but one that makes a meaningful difference when moving between capturing, exploring, and creating.

Reading, Reimagined for Book Mode

There’s something naturally intuitive about reading a book — having two pages open in front of you, flipping through them, and moving between ideas without losing your place.

With iPhone Duo’s Book Mode, we’ve brought that familiar experience into Notewise.

Documents and handwritten notes can be displayed side by side, with horizontal page navigation that feels just like flipping through a notebook.

But Book Mode goes beyond reading two pages at once.

The dual-screen layout also lets you keep navigation, different sources, and AI Chat on one side, while exploring your content on the other. Whether it’s a handwritten canvas, a PDF, a text memo, or a voice recording, you can move between different types of content without constantly switching views.

Say you’re reading a research paper and come across a concept from an earlier class. You can pull up your lecture notes, revisit a recorded explanation, or ask AI Chat to clarify it — all while keeping your original document in view.

It’s a more flexible way to read and explore, bringing your notes, references, and AI together in one connected workspace.

A More Thoughtful Experience in Seated Mode

When you set iPhone Duo down, the way you interact with it changes.

Instead of treating both displays as one continuous canvas, we’ve designed Notewise’s Seated Mode around how people naturally use the device in this position.

The upper display becomes your dedicated content space, whether you’re reading a document, reviewing a text memo, listening to a voice recording, or working on your canvas.

Meanwhile, navigation, quick actions, and editing controls move to the lower display, right where your hands naturally rest.

When you’re writing or editing a text memo, the keyboard stays on the lower display, leaving the upper display clear so you can focus on your content.

By separating content from controls, Seated Mode creates a more comfortable and focused experience for reading, capturing ideas, and creating.

Your Notes, Connected with Siri AI

Alongside the redesigned experience for iPhone Duo, Notewise also takes advantage of Siri AI in iOS 27.

With App Intents, you can find notes, organize your workspace, and add new information using natural language.

For example, you can ask Siri to find a note you’ve previously created, summarize its contents, or add new information to it — without navigating through multiple screens.

From quick text memos and voice recordings to handwritten ideas and documents, Notewise brings different forms of information together into a growing personal context. With Siri AI, that context becomes easier to access and build upon, helping you connect what you’ve captured with what you’re working on now.

It’s another step toward making your knowledge more accessible, not just within Notewise, but throughout your everyday workflow.
